Los acelerómetros MEMS (Micro Electro-Mechanical System) o acelerómetros DC, cubren todas las variantes posibles en este tipo de sensores.
Su principal característica es que pueden medir desde 0Hz hasta varias decenas de Khz, con rangos que parten de los 2g y pueden llegar a los 10000 g, sobreviviendo a impactos de hasta 50000g.
Su salida amplificada, la compensación en temperatura y una alta resolución son algunas de sus características más destacadas.
